What is the rate calculating factor of a product?

The shipping charge of a product is calculated on the basis of weight, shipping address(Pincode) and product cost(in case of COD).

For weight, there are two factors, either volumetric weight or the dead weight depending on whichever is higher is considered.

For eg., if the dead weight of a product is 500gm and its volumetric weight (Length x Breath x Height) / (dimensional factor) i.e 10x10x50/5000= 1 Kg.

The volumetric weight will be considered in this case.
